MPhil Graduation

Have stopped for a while not using this because don't I like this site any more for some personal reasons. Anyway, as it has been established already and lots of my friends and family knew about this site, might as well just let you know that I've graduated with my MPhil in Cambridge and have upgraded my MPhil into PhD. So know I'm second year PhD student in Cambridge. I'm half way through now, insyaALLAH another 1 and a half year to go. Please make prayer for me. Miss you guys lots.

Today, two of my friends flew back to the countries to where their families original came from:
Dina --> Egypt
Sahra --> Turkey
Now, I'm feeling sooooooooo amazingly bored. Don't know what to do, who to talk to cos others are busy with their own things to do, some are busy with their family, some are busy with their works & study, some are busy preparing to go abroad, some are busy preparing for next year clinical... I only can look at the sky wondering if I get to see my friends' flights pass by

I have just handed in my dissertation - the final piece of work for this one-year MPhil course - today though the dateline is 17 July 2006. So, officially I've finished the MPhil course and am waiting for the results - either to be upgraded to PhD if everything goes well or graduated with MPhil if I don't get enough grade to go on my study. Please pray for me the best that I deserve. These are the data sticked on my wall in my room for me to make sense out of it.
Phew... a great relief and now don't know what to do... Waiting for summer job but applied too late, so still 'unemployed'. This is worse cos it makes me have more time to 'miss' my friends...

End of World Cup

Yup, the World Cup is ended with Italy won the penalty and sadly to see that Zidane ended his career with a red card which seemed controversial as no one can be certain what made this most expensive football player headbutt Materazzi. Just miss the time spent watching some games with the sisters and friends in New Hall...

The last time I saw her...

The first day I met Romaissa or Asma is when Rabia invited her to Newnham after about a week she has started her clinical (I supposed) in Pharmacy in Addenbrooke's Hospital. She is from University of Nottingham and next year will be her final year. She just been here in Cambridge for a month and went back to Algeria now for holiday. A month is short but alhamdulillah, it's the bonding of Islam and sisterhood that we have the chance to meet for several time with her busy schedule. I hope that she will bring back all the best memory she can have here back to Nottingham and Algeria. Hope to see you again and may you be success in the Dunya and the Akhirat

New Hall Congregation 2006 III ~ And they all got the degree

As I said before this, going into the Senate House to watch the ceremony was quite bored. So, I stay at the back of the Senate House to wait for them to come out. Unfortunately, after Zuhr prayer in the prayer room and rushed back to the Senate House, most of them were out. Anyway, it's a sunny day and all the girls smiled brighter than the sun, mashaALLAH

New Hall Congregation 2006 II ~ Marching to the Senate House
|
|
After the lunch break, all the girls were ready to march to the Senate House. Instead of going down the hill straigt to the Senate House, they took a longer route. They went to Trinity Hall through The Back which actually took nearly half an hour. A useful advice for any New Haller graduating next year (i.e., Alia, Rukeya, Arwa  ), wear nice and comfortable shoes that make your journey an enjoyable one (ask Tabs for more information  ).
The loooooooooooong route is:
New Hall > Huntingdon Road > Mount Pleasant > Lady Magaret Road > Cross the Northampton Road > The Back > Garret Hostel Lane > Trinity Lane > Senate House
I can't imagine how the Girton going to walk all the way down...

New Hall Congregation 2006 I ~ Photography Session
|
|
After finished the session of Newnham, I rushed back to New Hall for their congregation. Since I'm a New Haller, I covered the whole event of this college from the group photography until the end. This part one is from the group photography until they started to march to the Senate House.
